The european robin is a bird species extant across Europe, northern Africa, and the westernmost end of Asia. It’s a small bird, about 15cm in length from beak to tail, and very round—especially in the winter.

Medium-sized bird of prey, with long and slim wings. The two sexes of this species are quite different: males are light gray across the head and back, whereas females are brown and considerably darker, as well as larger.

The long-tailed tit is a passerine bird in the Aegithalidae family, and its only representative in most of Europe. It’s a small bird with a very long tail—from beak to tail, it’s about 14cm in length, of which between 7cm and 9cm come from the tail alone.
An adult corn bunting.Medium-sized bird, about 18cm in length and visibly larger than a sparrow. Its plumage is mostly brown, with a white underside and stripes across the chest. On the base of the beak, two white, whisker-like patterns can be seen.

The green-tailed trainbearer is one of the two species of the genus Lesbia, in the Trochilidae family. This species is present across the Andes, including northern Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and central/western Bolivia. There are claims of sightings in Venezuela, but they have been put in doubt.

Large black bird with a long neck. The beak is long and hooked, evolved to catch fish. Has webbed feet to be able to dive and swim underwater. During breeding season, its nape gets covered in white feathers.
Small, round bird, about 13cm in length. Its beak is flat and fine, much like the legs, which are very thin.

A juvenile collared dove.Bird with the characteristic pigeon shape: round body, small head. Measures about 32cm in length, being slightly shorter than the usually more common rock dove (Columba livia).
As its name would imply, this bird’s plumage is dark and uniform. Males are completely black; females are a grayish brown color and have some white stripes on the chest; Juveniles are a lighter brown with spots. They are about 25cm long.
